Sensory shaker

An instrument adapted from a piece of box wood with interesting texture on the surface. There is a carving on this surface to fit your hand in comfortably. To create the sound element the object has been drilled then filled with dried lentils. Either end of the shaker has been covered in a thin membrane and then brass. Purple elastic has been tied through to create more touch and sound aesthetic the bright colour also compliments the musky sandy yellow of the wood.
